Need to do some serious research?  Justice Public Library subscribes to these databases to help you...

We subscribe to a variety of databases available through EBSCO to help you access articles, information, consumer product reviews, book reviews and recommendations, and more.

Justice Public Library patrons can access these databases from any computer that has Internet access by using the link below.

Give it a try: JPL EBSCO Databases

Stop in or call the library for the User ID and Password.  (To obtain the current log-in information, you will need a valid Justice Public Library card with no fines or overdues.)

Looking for a new author to try?  Try NoveList!

NoveList is a fiction database that provides reviews, searches, and more.  You can find books by genre, search for your favorite authors, find series information (in order!), search for books or authors that are similar to your favorites, and even search for a book by describing the plot!  Use NoveList Plus for adult books and NoveList K-8 Plus for Children's books.

To access NoveList, go to JPL EBSCO Databases and log in.

Stop in or call the library for the User ID and Password.  (To obtain the current log-in information, you will need a valid Justice Public Library card with no fines or overdues.)

Looking for a book or other item and can't find it in our library system?  You can search libraries all over the state using OCLC FirstSearch!

Go to OCLC FirstSearch and log in using the authorization number and password located below the expiration date on your Justice Public Library card.

Once you log in, you need to select a database.  WorldCat will have everything that most people will ever need to look for, so start with that.  Then type in a title, author, etc., and click Search.  (You'll be able to limit your search to narrow the results on the next page or by clicking Advanced Search.)

If you find the item you were searching for you may request it through our library if you have a Justice Public Library card.  (PLEASE NOTE: We can only request material from libraries in Illinois.)  Call or stop in at the library to place your request.  Please see our Interlibrary Loan Policy for details on timing, renewals, fees, etc.  Most in-state loans are free.

Are you (or do you know) someone who is unable to read standard printed material due to a disability?
